Privacy Notice

How and why we use your information

We will only collect basic personal data about you. This does not include any special categories of personal information about you (sometimes referred to ‘sensitive personal data’). The information we collect will include your name and email address. If an SMS text message service is offered and you choose to use it, we will also collect your phone number.

We need to collect this basic personal data in order to allow you to create and account to use the service. We can then protect the information relating to buildings you provide whilst using the service and restrict access to it.

Whilst using the service we will collect:

  • your Internet Protocol (IP) address, and details of which version of web browser you used
  • information on how you use the site, using cookies and page tagging techniques

We are processing your personal information based on our Public Task obligations to provide a tool to enable Responsible Persons to prioritise the order in which they carry out Fire Risk Assessments on the buildings they are responsible for.

Your personal data will only be used for the purpose described above and will not be shared with any third parties other than our partner involved in providing the service you have requested.

We design, build and run our systems to make sure that your data is as safe as possible at all stages, both while it’s processed and when it’s stored.

We are committed to doing all that we can to keep your data secure. We have set up systems and processes to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure of your data.

We understand the importance of protecting children's privacy online. This service is not designed for, or intentionally targeted at, children 13 years of age or younger. It is not our policy to intentionally collect or maintain data about anyone under the age of 13.
